The Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople elected him unanimously as Bishop of Pamphilos, assistant of His Excellency Metropolitan Constantine of Irinoupolis, head of the Ukranian parishes belonging to the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

His consecration took place on May 10, 2008 in Parma (USA).
